How much does it cost to post a job on Top Staff?

Posting a job on Top Staff is completely free! There are no hidden costs, finder’s fees, or ongoing charges for hiring temporary employees. To get started, all you need to do is create an employer account.

What makes Top Staff different from an agency?

Top Staff is not just a recruitment platform, but also a time management software for the hospitality industry. We provide a platform for companies and industry professionals to connect with each other directly.

Why should I register with Top Staff?

Employers who register with Top Staff can post unlimited job adverts, network with industry professionals, message them directly, make job offers for permanent and temporary roles, book temporary staff in real-time, and manage contracts. Employees get access to freelancer tools, messaging employers directly, hospitality jobs from all over the UK, and the ability to negotiate wages and terms.

How long does registration take?

Registration takes only 3 minutes. Fill out your profile first, and then head to the marketplace for access to all the contacts promised.

My staff did not turn up, and I need a shift covered urgently. What can I do?

If you need a temp urgently, you can either send a booking request to an available temp or post the vacancy on the marketplace and wait for temps to apply or make offers. To prevent double-bookings and minimize staff not showing up for scheduled work, the platform allows workers to book only one temp job per day. If they wish to book another contract, they will have to cancel the original booking beforehand.

What if I need to cancel a job booking?

If you need to cancel a job booking, please do so as soon as possible to allow the employer time to find a replacement. You can cancel a booking by heading to your Dashboard and selecting "Cancel booking."

Is there a minimum or maximum contract length for temporary employees?

There is no minimum or maximum contract length for temporary employees on Top Staff. Employers can hire temps for as little or as long as they need.

Can I hire employees for permanent roles on Top Staff?

Yes, Top Staff allows employers to hire for both temporary and permanent contracts.

Are there any hidden costs or finder's fees?

No, there are no hidden costs or finder's fees associated with using Top Staff. The platform is free to use for both employers and employees, and there are no additional charges for hiring temporary employees.

Where are your jobs based?

You will find UK wide hospitality jobs from all areas of business, temporary and permanent. Apply for live in roles at hotels and resorts or find your next position at your local bar, restaurant, café, pub, wedding venue, or a spa.

How do I see which of my staff are on breaks?

To view your staff's breaks, simply enter the Timekeeping section on the app or website and select the employee you wish to view. Their timekeeping calendar will show when they clocked in and when they took their break.

What does Private Mode do?

Private Mode is a feature that allows you to browse the marketplace without being seen. Your profile will not show up in search, but you can still make offers and apply for jobs.

I cannot register my location. What should I do?

During registration, if your location is not in our database, please register with the nearest town and contact us with your postcode and town. We will update the database, and you will be able to update your profile.

Do you offer premium services?

Yes, we offer a Timekeeping module that allows you to track employees and integrate with payroll. You can choose between a flexible monthly contract or an annual plan. We also offer profile and advert boosts to help your postings stand out.

Do you have an app?

Yes, in addition to the website, Top Staff is available on both Android and iOS.

I forgot to clock-in for my shift. What should I do?

If you forget to clock-in on the day of your shift, you can head to Timekeeping and select "Clock-in manually" to log your shift and any breaks. This shift will be displayed to your employer as a manual entry.

How do I use the software?

Top Staff is available as a website and app. We designed the platform to be intuitive, but if you get stuck you can contact us via Tech Support profile on the app or website.

Is there a cost for accessing the Timekeeping module?

Yes, there is a cost for accessing the Timekeeping module. Employers can choose a flexible monthly contract or an annual plan for this service.

Is Top Staff a social media site?

No, Top Staff is not a social media site. It is a platform for finding staff and employment, split into two versions: Employee and Employer. Employees can only see Employers and vice versa.

How much does it cost to boost my profile or job advert?

The cost for profile or advert boosting varies depending on the duration and level of exposure you want to achieve. You can find more information about pricing and options in your employer account.

Is there a fee for negotiating wages and terms?

No, there is no fee for using the negotiate feature on Top Staff. This feature allows employees to make offers to jobs and negotiate wages and terms directly with employers.

Are there any charges for using the messaging system?

No, there are no charges for using the messaging system on Top Staff. Employers and employees can message each other directly for free.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account, please contact our support team via the Tech Support profile on the app or website. They will guide you through the process and make sure all of your data is securely deleted.

Can I use Top Staff for remote work?

Yes, Top Staff can be used for remote work. Our platform allows employers to post remote job ads and for employees to filter their job search by remote work options.

How can I report inappropriate behaviour?

If you encounter inappropriate behaviour on the platform, please report it to us via the Tech Support profile on the app or website. We take all reports seriously and will investigate and take appropriate action.
